Available 6/01/25: Fully Furnished 1 BR Apartment in an historic mansard house in the heart of Harvard Sq., close to Charles River Weeks Footbridge to HBS; it has a separate entrance, is efficiently laid out: LR has good light from bay windows and an... antique tin ceiling. BR has Q. bed, 2 large windows, ceiling fan. Apartment is in a wing, so there's only a roof above.

Best for a single person since it’s a small space for 2 for a long term rental situation. The size is c. 700 sf, two rooms & bathroom, but it’s efficiently designed and laid out.

It has a seperate entrance into a hallway with washer/dryer in a closet and also a clothes closet. You enter this fully furnished apartment into a large room with living room/dinning/kitchen areas which has hardwood floors and multiple window,. The LR area has desk with computer chair, coffee table, bookcase, TV,, and for overnight visitors a sleeper sofa (Q size with linens inside); Dining area has folding table with 4 chairs. Kitchen area has refrigerator, gas stove, sink with disposal, and maple cabinets. K appliances include AC (through the wall), microwave, toaster oven, blender, electric hot water pot, coffee/tea makers. Basic kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. are included. There’s no dishwasher.

The second room is the bedroom; has 2 large windows, a ceiling fan, a queen size bed, 6 drawer dresser, 2 bedside tables, and a closet. Bathroom (adjoining bedroom) has a shower/bath, sink with cabinet, and vent/fan/light.
Utilities included in rent: Heat (hot water radiators) and Water; and high speed internet/WiFiUtilities. Not included: Electricity, Gas for the stove, and Cable for TV.

This apartment is in a good neighborhood that's well lit in the Harvard Square area near Harvard dorms. There is a code lock for the door. We had a female tenant who loved living there for 6 years and had no problems re safety issues. Owners live in same house, also on the first floor.

However, from the Cambridge Traffic Dept., a visitor parking permit can be obtained for parking in our neighborhood (Area 7,) and/or vehicles with Cambridge registration can get resident stickers for parking on any residential street in Cambridge. Also, Harvard / MIT associates can rent parking space in college lots.
