1 bedroom in a three bedroom/Inman Square

1 bedroom available in a spacious 3-bedroom apartment in Inman Square for the remainder of the academic year (end of May 2025). There may be the possibility of a lease renewal. The apartment has high ceilings, hardwood floors, a living room, dining... room, and large eat-in kitchen. A porch--great for morning coffee/tea--overlooks the street with a view to Perry Park. There is a dedicated washer and dryer for this unit in the basement. The apartment has central air and the landlord is responsible for the common spaces in the building and takes out the trash. The apartment is fully furnished.

The apartment is in what's called "Flower Square" in Inman Square on the Somerville side. It's a 15 minute walk to Harvard with easy bus/bike access to MIT and ten minutes from the new Union Square extension on the MBTA Green Line. There is also a blue bike rental station down the street. Two small parks (Perry and Lincoln) are just a short distance away and are popular spots for skate boarding, volleyball, and community hangouts.

The rent is $1300/month plus utilities (gas/electricity/internet, which average about $100/month). We ask for a security deposit of $500.

I am a male finishing a PhD at Harvard and active in the local community. I enjoy good conversations, morning coffee, and occasionally have a small dinner party, and actively engage in making art at a local studio. My roommate is also male and a British PhD student with significant overseas experience. We keep common areas clean and respect one another's space. A postdoc, visiting faculty, or upper year grad. student would be welcome.

If interested in the flat, please introduce yourself and say a little about yourself. We look forward to meeting you.
