Hi! We are Elizabeth and Jeffrey Beard. We are both recently retired, Jeff as a global M&A specialist with IBM and Elizabeth as local school district contractor.

Our home is a restored 115 year old Arts & Crafts colonial. We live on the... 2nd and 3rd floor. The neighborhood is a very quiet residential area with access to a park down the street which has a tennis/pickleball court, large field and lots of shady areas. The house is a short walk to grocery stores (Trader Joes, Wholefoods, Maruichi) cafés, bakeries, restaurants and gyms. We are also a short walk to The Coolidge theatre and Brookline Village.

About your room and access to the house:

⁃ The rental bedroom is on the 2nd floor (main floor) in the quiet back half of the house.
⁃ The bedroom is 12’x14’ and furnished with a full size double bed, armoire, book shelves, area rug, small desk and chair, 50" HDTV.
⁃ Access to large outdoor furnished deck overlooking the back yard included.
⁃ Full bathroom across the hall.
⁃ The house has central AC and heating included.
⁃ TV streaming services (Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Max, Disney) and cable TV are included.
⁃ High speed internet is included.
⁃ Linens included bed sheets, quilts and towels are included.
⁃ In-house washer and dryer included and very accessible.
⁃ We provide full kitchen access including gas range and oven for cooking, and storage, i.e., partial kitchen cabinets, pantry, space in fridge/freezer.
⁃ Professional cleaner comes ~2x a month and is included in rent.
⁃ We have a cat and a dog, so cannot allow renters with pets. Cat stays on 3rd floor and hides most of the time. Dog is a big friendly baby (according to our previous renters, but we agree)

Transit options from the house:
⁃ House is a three minute walk to No 66 Bus to Harvard Square/ Longwood medical area, a five minute walk from Green B line, and a 10-minute walk from Green C line.
⁃ We are a 15-minute bike ride from the Longwood Medical area, 15-minute trolleys into downtown Boston and 20 minutes taxi to Logan airport.
⁃ Interstate bus stop is a ten-minute walk from the house near Coolidge Corner.

Offering is for the summer months June-August, but 12-month leases are strongly desired. Also, if you need to move in prior to 6/1 we can be flexible and have you in earlier if necessary.
