Modern 1 Bedroom Apartment Sublet - Peabody Terrace

Are you visiting Harvard University in the summer of 2025? I am subletting a stylish, clean, well-maintained and comfortable 1 Bedroom unit in the Peabody Terrace building complex owned by Harvard University. Perfect for 1 at most 2 occupants... .

SUBLET PERIOD

Available: From May 21 until last day of June.

Optional Availability: I can extend for an additional month (i.e., until end of July), but it is not certain yet that I will be able to. In your message, please mention whether you are interested in renting for July as well.

ABOUT THE UNIT

One bedroom unit (~460sq feet) located on the seventh floor featuring a private balcony with new floor and large window/openings in the living room as well as the bedroom. Ideal floor plan separating the bedroom from the entrance and the living areas. There is plenty of storage space and closets in the unit.

The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge and large oven, microwave oven, but no dishwasher. The whole apartment features vinyl flooring and there is tile in the bathroom. The living room has a dining table, couch, a Smart TV, chairs, coffee table, hand-picked furniture, a bookcase, and hand-picked artworks. NOTE: I am in the process of purchasing/selling furniture and so the exact items may differ.

The unit has a balcony overlooking the Charles river on the right side and Boston's skyline on the left side. There is a large parking space right in front of the building's entrance.

I am subletting the apartment at the current rent, which is submarket price. There is a security deposit of $500 that will be returned to the tenant by the end of the sublet and a $100 cleaning fee.

References are desired.

To contact me please text me in the provided phone number, or use the email service here. I can also provide a VIDEO tour after we talk.

NOTE: The apartment contains hand-picked vintage furniture and artwork and the tetant will be responsible for the full reimbursement of any damages.

UTILITIES:

All utilities (including internet) are included in the rent.
Air conditioning: Available for rent (must speak to the building's management if interested). I have personally never used this.

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD

The apartment is located in one of the best neighborhoods to be in the summer in Cambridge. Right on Charles river, it is 10-12 minutes walking distance from the main Harvard University gate in Cambridge in Harvard Square and similar distance to Allston's campus on Western Ave. You will be also in a 10 minute walking distance to the largest Whole Foods in Cambridge/Boston as well as Trader Joes and CVS or Walgreens. Various mini markets, restaurants, and bars are just nearby in Harvard Square. The neighborhood features tons of other Harvard University owned buildings, including undergraduate/graduate housing.

As a person living in the area for about 10 years, I can provide you with a list of recommendations on where to eat, drink and shop in the neighborhood.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

Built in 1964, the Peabody Terrace complex overlooks the Charles River and a city park in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the Riverside area. The grounds, common areas, kitchens and baths have been renovated. The Graduate Commons space received LEED Platinum certification. It is designed in the brutalist architectural style of the 1950s-1960s by the Dean of the Graduate School of Design. The building serves graduate students, faculty, researchers, married students and families.
